![]() So those are a few that I can think of that had that fun epic experience - but I still think the grandness of LOTR is still unmatched imo. And speaking of Mel Gibson, I dug Mad Max: Fury Road in theaters - that was fun. Oh also, I remember seeing Apocalypto, the Mel Gibson film, in theaters and even though it's not as grand as LOTR it definitely had an energy, craziness and pure adrenaline that made it an amazing movie experience. I still want to see Apocalypse Now on the big screen (I missed seeing the "Final Cut" screenings a few years ago). Having said that, I saw 70mm screenings of 2001 & Lawrence of Arabia which was an amazing experience.
